[Expert's remark: Bols introduced their Blue Curaçao in 1933. It was distilled from the dried peel of bitter Curaçao oranges and a small amount of sweet peels of Valencia oranges.
Blue coloured liqueurs were a relatively late invention, as for a long time there were no colourants available that weren't poisonous. This changed in the 1920s. This bottle is an early example of Bols' Blue Curaçao in surprising condition. It comes the 8 facet bottle Bols always used for their Curaçao liqueurs - ES]
