Dino Buzzati was one of the greatest writers of the second half of the 20th century in Italy. He is also remembered for his career as a journalist and painter. In particular, he distinguished himself for his surreal and fantastic vein, and in the end Buzzati is remembered as one of the most interesting personalities of his time.
Salvatore Fiume, from Sicily, moved at a very young age to Milan, where he came into contact with the intellectuals of the time, from Salvatore Quasimodo to Dino Buzzati and Raffaele Carrieri. Later, he would be in Ivrea, where he would contribute to various initiatives by Adriano Olivetti. One of his works presented at the Venice Biennale, “Isola di statue”, was a great success in America as well.
