A lovely and very large antique Chinese porcelain lidded vase with a central decoration of petal shaped panels with different florals and insects in a rocky landscape, executed in a nice underglaze blue and white. A broad reverse painted lotus scrolls band on the neck. In the border a classical decoration of geometrical and floral patterns. Including original lid with a gilded lion on top. Handcrafted in ancient China during the Qing dynasty, Kangxi period (ca. 1680-1690). Guaranteed original and of the stated period.

Condition: The object is in overall good condition, minor wear on the edge of the lid only, the vase with a hairline on the rim and bottom (deriving drom a baking flaw) and a relative small repaired section on the neck, see pictures). A very nice piece in honest condition, without any overpainted parts et cetera. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light.
