The Saglier brothers have worked closely with famous French artists such as Bigot, Lelièvre, Dalpayrat, Sevres and many others in the Art Nouveau period.
Glass was bought from several renowned glass artists of the time such as Daum, Legras and Pantin to make their high-quality refined frames.
The sons Eugène and André Saglier took over the business from their father, silversmith Victor, in 1894.
This candy jar is equipped with a very refined lid and is richly chased.
Glass is acid-etched in the background and has floral filigree in gold decoration as this was delivered to Saglier by glass artist Legras.
