It has been standing still for some time.

Never used on track
Single shaft with overhead valves.
3-speed manual transmission.
Until the 1920s, Velocette mounted 2-stroke engines on its motorcycles, cheap to build and also very reliable. However, other British manufacturers were already introducing 4-stroke engines with cam shaft-operated valves able to give a more powerful performance and lower consumption. Velocette adapted to the competition and prepared a single-cylinder, single overhead camshaft engine, driven by a vertical shaft with conical gears.
The engine was partly redesigned and included in some motorcycles that in 1925 took part in the Isle of Man TT with a resounding success.
From that experience, in 1929, the 350 KTT was born: it was one of the most successful motorcycles at that time.
