Pipistrello has been produced by Martinelli Luce since the 50s and to this day it is an icon of Italian design.
The Pipistrello lamp was designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965, and subsequently produced to this day by Martinelli Luce.
It is a table lamp characterised by the elusive shape of the conical base that develops upwards and widens in the sides of the diffuser, like the way a bat spreads its wings.
The lamp consists of the diffuser in opaline methacrylate, the metal telescopic lamp body and a base in metal with black varnish.
The light source is an LED that can be adjusted via a switch on the power cable.
Today the Pipistrello is exhibited at the MOMA IN NEW YORK.
THE LAMP WILL BE SHIPPED IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING, TRACKED AND INSURED SHIPPING.
