Unfortunately only 3 napkins remaining.
But they are so magnificent with such distinct and important relief that there must be somebody who would want to give these another life again.
In fact I had 12 napkins, but after careful checking and holding the other 9 against the light they had seen better days.
As said on so many occasions the house hold staff, when setting the dining room tables would always take out the same napkins of the armoire after they have been put back with washing, starching and ironing. If they had been regularly exchanged they would have been almost all saved.
The initials are embroidered on a back ground of small squares with in between further smaller squares which makes a very pleasant change from the damask linen look.
