These are 6 and another 2 tea towels, thus 8 in all.
The 2 we think date to the end of the 19th Century as the fabric is "chanvre"
(hemp) and prohibited to manufacture after 1920s by the U.S.A. as it also had other uses which was prohibited at the time.
The 6 towels are as new and have the initials of the owner V.D.still showing on the inside. The two hemp towels have the initials 9.9. sewn at the top and measure 58x78cm.
