Influenced by the post-cubist works of Georges Braque, Armand Silvestre realised his first paintings at the end of the second world war. Dreamy cubist expressionism, in his own style. Like artists such as Jo Delahaut and Jean Rets, he is one of those discreet painters who have built up the history of abstract art softly and in the intimacy of their studios.
