Dan Bădărău/Badareu (b. December 6, 1893, Iași - d. July 2, 1968, Bucharest) was a Romanian philosopher, corresponding member of the Romanian Academy.
He began his university studies at the University of Iași, where he obtained a degree in Law in 1917, and continued them at the University of Paris (Sorbonne) where he obtained a degree (1919) and a doctorate (1924) in philosophy.
The title offered here represents the complementary doctoral thesis, the main thesis being entitled Essai sur la pensée.
Vasile/Basile Conta (b. November 15, 1845, Ghindăoani commune, Neamț county - d. April 21, 1882, Iași) was a Romanian philosopher, writer and minister. In the history of Romanian philosophy, Vasile Conta's work has written a memorable page, bringing again - after the works of Dimitrie Cantemir and Nicolae Bălcescu - our culture on the European scientific arena.
He was the first Romanian philosopher to lay the foundations of his own, original philosophical system.
In fine condition. Worn and stained cover. The interior is mostly clean, this is due to the fact that many pages are uncut / caught on the edges. No underlining and interventions in the text.
With the dedication and autograph of the author to a university professor.
Dedication sounds like this: ”autorul prezinta acest volum in semn de profund omagiu”. Translation from Romanian into English : the author presents this volume as a sign of deep homage.
Very rare book.
