Description
Harry Mulisch - De Wijn [Facsimile van een handgeschreven gedicht, niet elders gepubliceerd] - 1984
Littérature, Poésie - Quantité : 1 - Édition limitée - Feuille simple

In June 1984, some 70 poets from Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands embarked on the most expensive Rhine boat imaginable (350 guilders per person per day). They departed from Basel and then travelled down the Rhine for five days. Harry Mulisch is among them. Fraternisation in a European context is the objective. Poetry is hopefully the outcome. There are enough sponsors. Money is not an issue. There is a big party in Rolandseck and the poems that were written on board are multiplied and distributed. One of the copies produced was sent to the seller of this lot. The uniqueness of this facsimile edition is obvious. The manuscript offered here has never been published elsewhere. Fans and connoisseurs of Mulisch's work will find the content of the text very characteristic of his work as a whole, namely the paradox that is always present in Mulisch's work, but then in a very beautifully condensed form: an extremely beautiful poem.
Adriaan van Dis was also on board, as a journalist, and wrote an entertaining article about the trip in the NRC newspaper of Tuesday 12 June 1984.
