Hippocrates’ work, printed in Venice in the same year (1546) as the
the first Froben edition (Basel),
translated into Latin by Janus Cornerius,
Saxon humanist, friend of Erasmus.

insomnia, illness and infections, hemorrhoids, epilepsy, maternity and much more.

Hippocrates was the highest medical authority from the Middle Ages throughout Europe, and is considered the founder of scientific medicine in Greece.

The Corpus Hippocraticum contains
the Hippocratic doctrine and is composed of about 50 works.

Beautiful, elegant nineteenth-century half leather binding, with
refined golden decorations on the spine.
In perfect condition.

The interiors are also very well preserved.
Fresh and clean sheets overall.
However, some pages are affected by stains, more or less
accentuated, without however preventing regular consultation
of the text.
Small marginal tear on p.119.

Numerous old annotations in the text.
