Romain antique Grand acteur de théâtre en bronze avec licence d'importation espagnole statue

A very rare bronze statuette representing a theater actor in the role of a mendicant. It is probably adorned with a silene mask. It is animated by a slight movement of the torso in contrast with his crossed legs. The right hand forward stretches a token while the left hand is folded towards a purse held at the waist of the character. | Rome. 2nd-3rd Century A.C.

Dimensions: 19,00 cm.

Condition: Beautiful green patina. Excellent condition.

Provenance: French Auction House. Acquired in 2018. Previously french private collection ( documentation held by the auction house )
