A beautiful roman white marble bust of a young woman. Serene face with almond-shaped eyes with an expressive look, and slightly pursed lips. High hairstyle with wavy hair, wearing cloak or headscarf. Drilled hole to base. Custom metal stand with rod for mounting.

Old collector label on the back: " Fragm. Stèle funeraire - Gallo Romain - 2 siècle après JC - Prov. Bavais France"

Dimensions: 22,00 x 15,00 x 12,00 cm. / 34,50 cm with support.

Condition: Surface wear with areas of accretion. Some erosion and material losses ( see pictures ). Good oveall condition.

Provenance. Luxembourg Auction House. Formerly french private collection. With old label with location provenance.
