DESCRIPTION:
Producer: ANTINORI
Wine: Tenuta Tignanello Marchesi Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2022 cl.150 Magnum 14%
Size: 0.75 cl
Grapes: Sangiovese 90% - Cabernet Franc 10%
The Chianti Classico Riserva Marchese Antinori by Antinori is made from a blend of Sangiovese (90%) and Cabernet grapes (10%) grown on the prestigious Tignanello estate in Mercatale in Val di Pesa, in the province of Florence, in the heart of the Chianti Classico area. After harvesting, the grapes were destemmed and soft-pressed. The resulting must was transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation with maceration on the skins took place for about 7 days, necessary for the extraction of aromas, color and substances such as tannins. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was assembled and aged for about 12 months in French and Hungarian oak barriques. Before being released, the Chianti Classico Riserva Marchese Antinori 2017 rested in the bottle for an additional 12 months. It is produced only in the best vintages.
Tenuta Tignanello is located in the heart of Chianti Classico. On the soft hills enclosed between the Greve and Pesa valleys are 319 hectares of land, with 127 hectares of vineyards. Among its vineyards, two treasures: the Tignanello vineyard and the Solaia vineyard. The two vineyards extend over the same hill. The soils are derived from Pliocene marine marl with limestone and schist. They enjoy warm days and cool nights during the growing season. From the vineyards of the same name, Solaia and Tignanello are produced. They have been defined by the international press as “among the most influential wines in the history of Italian winemaking”. According to the Marchesi Antinori, they represent a continuous challenge and a never-ending passion. The vineyards of Tenuta Tignanello are composed mainly of the native Sangiovese and non-traditional varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
