Splendid 1929 edition of The Vicar of Wakefield by Oliver Goldsmith, richly illustrated by Arthur Rackham — one of the brightest names of the Golden Age of illustration.

Edition & Publisher:
• First Harrap illustrated edition (London, George G. Harrap & Co., 1929) 
• Cloth binding with gilt lettering and gilt floral design by Rackham on cover 

Illustrations and format:
• Includes 12 full-colour plates and numerous black-and-white line drawings by Rackham, a hallmark of his delicate, atmospheric style. 
• Large-format, generous layout — a real pleasure for collectors & lovers of illustrated classics.

Condition:
• Clean, intact cloth binding; gilt remains bright; binding tight and solid.solid boards, very minor wear.
• Internally pages very clean, with only minor toning and very minor foxing on first few pages — no major damage, inscriptions or missing pages.
• Illustrations, title pages and plates crisp and intact (see photos).
