You are bidding on a very fine and rare old 4/4 violin, labeled Antoniazzi Romeo Cremonese fece a Cremona l'anno 1915. The instrument is in ready to play condition with only one small repaired crack on top.
The violin has an excellent high to medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of strongly flamed maple. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. Golden-orange varnish. The whole length of the violin is 590 mm and the back 355 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 162 mm; middle bouts: 109 mm; lower bouts: 202 mm.
