The model is associated with the design language of celebrated British jeweller Andrew Grima, who collaborated with Omega on several highly distinctive jewellery watches. The sharply faceted crystal, reminiscent of an emerald-cut gemstone, is the feature behind the collector nickname “Emerald Line.” Although watches of this type are frequently attributed to Andrew Grima, the available case and movement markings do not prove that this individual example was personally designed by him. There are visible scratches, surface marks, discolouration and wear to the gold plating on the case, bezel, case back, bracelet and clasp. The inside of the case also shows age-related oxidation and discolouration. The dial and crystal display signs of age and use consistent with a watch of this period. The original Omega integrated mesh bracelet and signed Omega clasp remain fitted. The bracelet accommodates a wrist of up to approximately 19 cm.
