Elegant Fontana Arte wall/picture lamp, model 1383, designed by Pietro Chiesa in the 1930s and produced by Fontana Arte in Italy in a later 1980s edition. A refined example of classic Italian lighting design, featuring a long cylindrical brass body with rounded ends, mounted above a rectangular brass wall plate. The light can be directed by rotating the cylindrical body using the characteristic small side handle, making it ideal for illuminating a painting, mirror or architectural feature. The lamp retains its beautiful original aged brass patina, with natural oxidation, small marks and signs of use consistent with its age. It has deliberately not been polished, preserving its authentic vintage character. The original manufacturer's label is still present inside the wall plate and clearly reads: FONTANA ARTE – Made in Italy – 220 V – mod. 1383 The lamp is also complete with its two original brass mounting brackets. The electrical system has been checked and tested and the lamp is fully functional, as shown in the photographs. It uses two bulbs. The bulbs visible in the photographs are for demonstration purposes only and are not included, allowing the new owner to choose the preferred colour temperature and light intensity.
