It appears to have been created as a commission for a specific client, as it combines older diamonds with modern brilliant cut diamonds. The quality of the workmanship is very good, as is the quality of the modern brilliant cut diamonds. Diamond(s): Ten brilliant cut with an estimated weight of ± 1.10ct. (colour and clarity: F/H, vvs/vs). Six old mine brilliant cut (also called bolshevics) with an estimated weight of ± 1.33ct. (colour and clarity: F/J, vvs/si). Ten old mine brilliant cut (also called bolshevics) with an estimated weight of ± 1.20ct. (colour and clarity: H/J, vs/i). 34 single cut (also called English-cut, 8-cut or 8/8, a sort of simplified brilliant cut) with an estimated weight of ± 0.72ct. (colour and clarity: H/J, si/i). Total diamond count: 60 pcs. Total diamond weight: approx. 4.35 crt. Precious stone(s): Six synthetic sapphires, also called Verneuil sapphires with an estimated weight of ± 2.00ct.
