Leica Wetzlar Summilux 50mm f/1.4 v1 (#11114 / Code SOONN) - Leica M Mount Obiettivo per fotocamera

Thank you for visiting. Each item is carefully checked and tested before it is listed, and inspected once more before shipping — so it reaches you ready to use with peace of mind. DESCRIPTION The first-version Summilux 50mm F1.4 is the lens that replaced the Summarit and set the standard for fast Leica normal lenses. Built in Wetzlar from 1959 and made in comparatively small numbers before the redesigned second version arrived, this chrome example carries the early 'LEITZ WETZLAR SUMMILUX' engraving and the warm amber coating that collectors look for. Wide open it renders with a gentle glow and soft falloff that later versions deliberately corrected away, and from F2.8 it sharpens up markedly — a rendering that cannot be reproduced by any modern lens. It mounts directly on every Leica M body, film and digital alike, and the serial number places this example in the earliest years of production. SPECIFICATIONS - Brand: Leica - Model: Summilux 50mm F1.4 (1st version, chrome) - Mount: Leica M - Focal length: 50mm - Maximum aperture: F1.4 (minimum F16) - Optical construction: 7 elements in 5 groups - Minimum focus distance: 1m - Filter size: E43 (Series VII) - Serial number: 1759455 - Manufacture: Ernst Leitz Wetzlar, Germany - Estimated period: 1959-1960 INCLUDED - Front cap - Rear cap CONDITION - Appearance: Very clean for a lens of this age.
