First, limited and numbered edition of this short-lived literary publication that served as an early platform for expressionist and homoerotic literature. Very rare. This being number 116 of 250 copies for Vol I and 116 of 280 copies for Vol II, that were privately published and only available to subscribers. Comes with illustrations by Josef Eberz, Ludwig Meidner and original lithographs by K. Schmidt and Josef Eberz. The texts are from Georg Trakl, Kurt Hiller, Carl Maria Weber, Ludwig Meidner, and Paul Ortwien, among others. Rubbing, creasing, and wear to the wrappers of both volumes. In Vol I the bottom outer corner is creased, and there are some coloured pencil markings on page 13. In Vol II there is a small tear in the bottom margin of page 61/62 and the last page is creased at the corner. Some browning and spotting throughout as usual. The text and illustrations are clear, and the binding is solid. Overall, a nice set in very good condition.
