Delbana 17 Jewels – Vintage Swiss Bicompax Chronograph – Landeron A striking vintage Delbana manual-winding chronograph, dating approximately from the 1940s–1950s, when Delbana was producing sporty Swiss bicompax chronographs powered by Landeron-based movements. The watch features a beautiful glossy black dial with warm gilt/rose-gold-tone Arabic numerals and hands, two concentric-register subdials, multiple outer timing scales and “DELBANA – 17 JEWELS – ANTIMAGNETIC – SWISS MADE” signatures. The dial shows attractive age-related patina and traces consistent with its vintage character. Inside is a 17-jewel Swiss manual-winding Landeron chronograph movement, signed Delbana Watch / Seventeen 17 Jewels / Swiss / Unadjusted. The chronograph layout is the classic bicompax configuration, with running seconds and chronograph minute recording. Delbana was already known for this type of sporting chronograph during the 1940s. The watch has a large round silver-tone case with integrated tapered lugs, chronograph pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock and a stainless-steel back. The back is marked “DELBANA WATCH – ALUMINIUM – FOND ACIER INOXYDABLE – 11502.” It is fitted with a high-quality handmade mustard/yellow leather strap. The watch is running, the chronograph functions, and timekeeping is reasonable for a vintage mechanical watch.
