A specialized study dedicated exclusively to Jay Ward watches describes surviving examples of the "Plain Automatic" model, in which the dial still bore the "17 jewels" marking, while the movement inside was a 21-jewel automatic caliber. The author considers this configuration to be original to the late production period, when Jay Ward utilized available components following the cessation of Buren production. Visible signs of rubbing/wear. The watch has dial in very good condition, with gold hands and gold indexes. Size of watch is 34 mm without the crown. Lug to lug is 39 mm. Original steel caseback in very good condition. The watch has very good condition dark brown leather strap (18 mm) with gold buckle.
