The Minolta Alpha 807si of 1997, sold in Europe as the Dynax 800si and in America as the Maxxum 800si, was the flagship of Minolta's si series and one of the most capable autofocus film SLRs of its day. It offered a fast 1/8000 top shutter speed, a four-sensor autofocus system, 14-segment honeycomb metering, a built-in flash with wireless off-camera control, and Minolta's card-based expansion system — all in a solid, well-balanced body. Minolta had invented the integrated-AF SLR with the 1985 Alpha 7000, and the 807si represents the mature peak of that lineage.
