An Indus Valley Zebu pottery bull idol powerfully depicted with its characteristic hump, short stubby legs and wide horns. The figure has been decorated with added black patches and stripes along the body and horns.
Condition: Complete and intact, some of the black patches now a little faded.
Zebu are characterised by a fatty hump on their shoulders. They were important in ancient times for their many uses in agriculture, also for the by-products such as hides and dung for fuel and manure.
