Very tall ceramic vase with a matte glaze in 2 beautiful shades of blue.
The dark blue "drips" over the lighter blue and is marked with a gold line.
The weight of the vase is 3,9 kg. The vase has some superficial signs of wear and use.
On the bottom is written in red: Okayama, Kaneshige this is Kaneshige Junpei 金重潤平 (1972) from the province Okayama, a Bizen potter. Bottom mark : Shômei.
About the artist:
A son of Mr.KOSUKE KANESHIGE. Late TOYO KANESHIGE is his grand father. After graduating from Waseda University, he learned Sculpture at Graduate School in Long Island University in U.S.A.
He has completed Sculpture Course in 2000.
