Sebastien tied to a tree is being shot with arrows by the Roman soldiers.
At the bottom, a fortified village in the mountains.
In the sky, an angel is bringing the palm branches of the martyr.
Beautiful cast-iron quality and black patina.
In good condition.

Born in Narbo, (now Narbonne), Sébastien is a citizen of Milan, Italy. A professional soldier, he enjoyed the affection of emperors Diocletian and Maximian Hercules, who named him centurion. During the persecution of Diocletian, however, he was executed on the orders of the sovereigns for supporting his co-religionists in their faith and performed several miracles. He was tied to a pole and pierced with arrows.
