Very nice work by Briel. It's made of moulded composite. Cheerful colours and figures are central in this work. With a small edition of 35, this is a must have for every Briels collector.

Clemens Briels lives and works in Heusden. His career started in the world of advertising. He was a successful art director before he decides to work as an artist. Clemens Briels has made an international name by becoming the first Dutch artist to be officially named "Official Olympic Artist" at the Olympic Games in 2002 in Salt Lake City. Briels followed was educated at the Academie voor Industriële vormgeving in Eindhoven. He makes very colourful work, where his fantasy is translated directly in figures. The work is influenced by Cobra and South American art. His works are included in museums and private collections in the Netherlands and abroad. He also made a lot of work commissioned by large companies.

This is the first Early Collectors auction by Art Dumay. It is a mix of world famous artists and the talents yet to be discovered. This auction gives new collectors the chance to get acquainted with prints and limited editions. With works by Marc Chagall & Marlene Dumas, but also by Dutch artists such as Jan Worst and Bob van Blommestein.
