A fine silver and enamel nail guard of the late Qing dynasty (circa 1900), measuring 8.7cm in length, converted to a brooch. Marked to the reverse "silver". Although no officially sanctioned hallmarking system existed in China at the time, this generally meant circa 90% purity as the silver was usually sourced from coins that contained circa .915 silver.
Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs. The brooch conversion can be reversed without damaging the original piece.
