A large and quite heavy, beautiful Gobelin tapestry manufactured by the famous weaving mill “Metrax” in Craye, Belgium. Measurements are: 155 cm x 70 cm. The scene shows "18G - HIVER" (winter) by Alphonse Mucha, the famous Art Nouveau / Jugendstil painter (1860-1939).

Beautiful colours, fully lined backing and with a certificate of authenticity. It can be hung by means of a rod through the existing sturdy loop. Truly an eye-catcher!
The tapestry has been rolled up so it will need to be hung out.

Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) was a Czech artist and played an important role in the decorative art movement Art Nouveau.
He accurately reproduced the fin de siècle atmosphere in the Paris of the late 19th century, at the it was the centre of art and entertainment.
