A pair of vintage Planter’s chairs from an Indian tea plantation from the British colonial period.
The chairs were imported by a renowned antiques dealer in Hong Kong and we purchased them there in 1981. Since then, the chairs have been virtually unused and have mainly been used for decorative purposes.
Teak wood. Renewed woven rattan. Everything in good condition.
Armrests that swivel out as leg rests.
Neck roll/cushion for comfortable sitting/lying comfort.
A reference to their age can be seen in the left chair on the armrest fastening with a large iron screw, encased by a brass ring.
