Wonderful, very large solid silver skull verge clock. (Memento Mori) in a realistic decorative case. Silver marked 800 and further marks.

Verge movement with enamel dial signed Gregson a Paris. Fine Roman numerals and minute scale with Arabic multiples of 5. The watch can be wound with a key on the dial at 2 o'clock. Time set using the same key in the centre.
Comes with winding key.
Movement opens upwards. Classic verge escapement. Beautiful, classic, signed Gregson a Paris. Silver disc to adjust the speed.
The movement is in working order. This is a collector's item. Power reserve and accuracy have therefore not been verified.
The engraved front depicts the face of a child in a sea of flowers. Motto on all sides. Engraving of Neptune speaking to a seahorse on the back. Engraved decorations on both sides.
Clock height: 71 mm Length 80 mm - width 58 mm. Weight 378 g, watch made circa 1820.
The clock is in very good condition.
