An impressive, large Qiamlong mug with colourful decoration.
The cylindrical mug of European shape is equipped with a handle with a dragon's head motif. The exterior is decorated with vivid narrative scenes with a Mandarin family and servants on the porch in front of a riverside pavilion, in the background is the silhouette of a mountain landscape.
The motif is framed by an endless geometric pattern, the bishamon kikkó (turtle shell). The main panel is surrounded by flower ribbons.
The inside of the jug is white, the bottom unglazed.
Very good condition.
