Bambi is the pseudonym of a contemporary British street artist known for her stencil graffiti artworks. Bambi uses representative images to provide social commentary and address political concerns. She often uses the representation of notable contemporary personalities such as artist Ai Weiwei, the late British singer Amy Winehouse or football star David Beckham.
The artist's work focuses on contemporary female identity and its relationship with patriarchal culture, the commodification of the art world and political injustices. “Being an artist is the freedom to create’, she said. ‘I want to save the world and that's why social commentary is always present in my work. It's easy to live with your eyes closed, but it's not satisfying or useful to the world. "
Born in 1982 in United Kingdom, she has been an active graffiti artist in London's Islington since her youth. Bambi's work is just as likely to decorate the city's streets as the walls of his famous collectors, including Rhianna, Brad Pitt and Adele.
His works are known to have yielded more than £100,000 Although little is known about this anonymous artist, she is an MA graduate of Saint Martin's College and continues to live and work in London, UK.
