Nicely marked (see photos), this gun has been converted to percussion, the lock plate has been replaced. On the heel of the barrel legible 1820 (original year of construction). On the butt cap dated 1852 V.A. (field artillery), and the weapon number.
Mechanism works in second position but does not go off well in first position, no other significant damage that’s not age appropriate.
