He graduated from Chiba Medical University in 1934 and later became a professor at Chiba University School of Medicine. In 1964, he received the "Surgeon of the Century" award and went on to establish the Gastroenterology Center at Tokyo Women's Medical University in 1965. Nakayama also founded the Nakayama Cancer Institute and served as the President of the Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Surgery and the International Surgery Society. He established the Tsuneaki Nakayama Prize for Cancer Medicine in 1991. A hardcover case is included. The thin cover of the book is torn. 1139g.
