Overall very good condition. Several gatherings browned, 2 plates frayed or trimmed at edges.
This is an important early military work by Johann Von Wallhausen who was an important proponent of Dutch Military reforms and formations. The work is lavishly illustrated with folding plates to inform the reader of the appropriate formations. Little is known about his life, but Wallhausen became head of the school of war in Siegen and published several works on the art of war.
