The herbaria of Studio Maarten Kolk and Guus Kusters are from their own garden. "At first, the garden was a study object, but more and more we started seeing vegetables as a material. As such, we wanted to cherish the garden we had spent a year working in, and show it on a scale of 1:10. We also wanted to comment on the point of view of the design. By pressing the plants and drying them and thus conserving them like this, you can - as it were - lengthen the plant's growth process.
The herbaria consist of many layers of fabric with plants on top. A wooden clamp pressed between a glass plate creates a graphic image leaning against the wall or hanging from it. "
This herbarium is made with Cannabis and has number 19-05. It will be shipped with care in a wooden crate filled with foam.
