As the wind shakes the boat and the leaves of the straw mats are swept away and buried. 松坂帰庵 Matsuzaka Kian (1891-1959) Shingon Buddhist monk of the Showa period. Born in Okayama Prefecture. He was the abbot of Hokai-in Temple of the Shingon sect. He excelled in calligraphy, painting, tanka poetry, and pottery. He devoted himself to the restoration and arrangement of the 13-story stone pagoda and bell tower.
