This remarkable Edo period samurai armor is a commanding and visually striking example of Japan’s martial heritage. Crowned with a bold red circular maedate (hi-no-maru), it instantly evokes the image of a fearless warrior advancing with unwavering resolve.
The dark-lacquered iron plates contrast elegantly with the deep green odoshi lacing, offering a noble and timeless aesthetic. At the rear, a rare and original nobori flag rises proudly, a seldom-seen feature that adds immense historical value and dramatic flair.
Every component of the armor has been meticulously preserved, from the finely crafted sode to the articulate haidate. The okegawa ni-mai-dō cuirass, adorned with golden rivets, reflects both strength and dignity. This armor is more than a relic; it is a centerpiece of historical grandeur and a collector’s gem ready to elevate any space it inhabits.
