These small 10-ton capacity wagons were widely used by the Japanese National Railways (JNR) for transporting light materials such as cement pipes, lumber, and building supplies. They played an important role in Japan’s freight network from the prewar period through the 1960s, especially on local and branch lines. TOMIX has faithfully reproduced both variations, featuring finely detailed cargo, realistic body construction, and accurate paintwork. The “wood load” and “pipe load” cars each bring distinct atmosphere and realism to any freight train formation or diorama. Please refer to the photos for the type of couplers installed. Condition: Brand new and unused. Opened only for photography. There may be minor surface marks from storage or manufacturing, but the items have never been run.
