Set di coppe da sakè giapponese 'Kasanehai' – Makie d'oro di Monte Fuji e delle navi - Lacca, Legno - Giappone - Meiji (1868) – Taisho (1926)

Item Description: This is a set of three traditional Japanese lacquered sake cups (sakazuki), known as kasanehai or kumihai – stacking ceremonial cups – dating from the Meiji to Taisho period (1868–1925). Each cup features a vibrant vermilion-red base and is adorned with an exquisite makie (gold and colored lacquer) landscape design depicting Mount Fuji and traditional Japanese sailing ships (hōsen), a motif symbolizing good fortune and safe journeys. The striking contrast between the warm red lacquer and the fine gold and silver detailing brings out the elegance of the natural scenery, including mountains, forests, clouds, and calm waters. The hand-painted design and craftsmanship reflect the high quality of traditional Japanese lacquerware, used in formal celebrations such as weddings and New Year’s rituals. These cups are made from natural wood and finished with authentic Japanese urushi lacquer. The elegant stackable design allows for beautiful display and efficient storage, making them both functional and collectible. This is an excellent piece for collectors of Japanese antiques, ceremonial tableware, or historical lacquerware. Size : Large: Diameter 15.0 cm × Height 5.5 cm Medium: Diameter 13.0 cm × Height 4.0 cm Small: Diameter 11.0 cm × Height 3.5 cm NOITICE: The lot will be carefully packaged and sent by Japan Post, DHL or FedEx depend on the situation.
