Heavy Green Cut Crystal Vase - Attributed to Val-Saint-Lambert (VSL)
A magnificent, heavy crystal vase, richly decorated with deep facet cuts and featuring a striking lime green/yellow tint. The vase is attributed to the renowned Belgian crystal manufacturer Val-Saint-Lambert (VSL), and is characteristic of their high-quality cut crystal production.
The body of the vase is adorned with a detailed pattern:
. Upper Section: A geometrical motif featuring diamond-shaped cross-cuts.
. Lower Section: Vertical columnar cuts that elongate the appearance of the piece.
. Base: Finished with a complex, star-shaped cut pattern.
This piece has a substantial weight of 1020 grams, underscoring the quality of the heavy crystal used. Vases from this period were often not signed, but the quality of the cutting and the use of crystal strongly suggest this is a Val-Saint-Lambert vase.
