Viet Ha Tran - Xian: Myths of the Beauties, Xishi II
Fine art photography 2015, no AI.
Published on PhotoVogue of Vogue Italia, Shoreditch Magazine London, amongst others.
The project "XIAN - Myths of the Beauties" was inspired by the Four Great Beauties of ancient China who changed the history of the four different dynasties in ancient times: Diao Chan, Yang Guifei, Wang Zhaojun, and Xishi. These Four Great Beauties were renowned for their unparalleled beauty which they used to exercise influence over kings and warriors.
This artwork depicts the beauty of Xishi (497 BC) who was a legendary beauty of ancient China. She is celebrated as a woman of extraordinary natural beauty with a universal appeal. Xi Shi is often described in Chinese paintings as a beautiful lady kneeling by the riverside, washing gauze. It is said that fishes, dazzled by her beauty, would forget how to swim and sink into the lake, thus winning her the title of 'the beauty that makes the fish sink'.
The photo is printed on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Baryta 325 gsm, a premium quality fine art paper which delivers accurate and vibrant colors in print as you see onscreen and also gives a touch of classic painting to the photo.
Comes with signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Also artist signature at the back of the photo.
The package will be sent in a carton tube by UPS.
