Chinese - Large - Standing Guanyin holding a Ruyi Sceptre - Porcellana - Cina - Dinastia Qing (1644-1911)
A lovely rare antique Chinese porcelain standing Guanyin, with excellent facial expressions and adornments, wearing a crown, jewelry and long robe. In her left hand she is holding a Ruyi Sceptre. Standing on a peach in curly waves with pearls and lotus. Beautifully crafted, magnificent quality. Handcrafted in ancient China during the Qing dynasty, 19th century or earlier; the thickness of the foot indicates that this is a 17th century piece, but we are not sure although this could be true.
On the backside the stamp of the maker He Chaozong and a double gourd seal.
Height: 42,5 centimeter.
Provenance: English Private Collection, from the collection by descent of the Grandmother of the previous owner.
Condition: The object is in overall good condition, only the top of the left thumb and middle finger is damaged, some small baking imperfections. See photos. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light.
