This precious material is traditionally used in high-end Japanese joinery and has been lovingly finished with multiple layers of hand-applied urushi lacquer by acclaimed Kaga maki-e artist Kosen Oshita, using the finest-grade Japanese lacquer from Joboji, Iwate Prefecture.
