Early post-war deluxe Haggadah designed and illuminated by Kafra, published by Philipp Feldheim, New York, 1949 (Printed in U.S.A.). Conceived in the manner of a medieval Hebrew manuscript, the book features broad polychrome borders with subtle gilt, illuminated initials, miniature vignettes throughout, and elegant Hebrew calligraphy. Iconography includes the Exodus narrative, Ten Plagues, Temple/ritual scenes, and concluding songs, all framed by rich foliage and architectural ornaments reminiscent of 15th–16th-century Ashkenazic manuscripts.
