The Tegamino egg pan was desgined by Alessandro Mendini for Alessi. In designing the pan Mendini was consulted by Italian gastronomy expert Alberto Gozzi. Mendini and Gozzi chooses to produce the pan out of trilaminate that is ideal for preparing eggs in the most efficient way. This was needed according Mendini since he considered himself as a lousy chef that even with fried eggs had one or two mishaps.
