Charming antigue Majolica-style richly decorated with two hand-painted blue tits perched among green leaves and budding branches. This striking piece captures the delicate beauty of nature through vivid colouring and fine modelling, showing exceptional attention to detail The basket's branch-like handle and naturalistic design evoke the style of Austrian or German majolica ceramics from the late 19th to early 20th century (c.1880-1910). The interior has a light cream glaze with a fine age crackle typical of antique earthenware. The underside bears a faint impressed number and blue painted mark, suggesting Central European origin, possibly Bohemia or Austria. A highly decorative piece for collectors of antique majolica, nature-themed ceramics, or bird figures. Fair to good antique condition, consistent with age • Some small chips and glaze losses to the leaf edges and buds (see detailed photos). • Natural crazing of the glaze throughout. .
